Staff Diversity

Here’s the table that provides the rankings for staff diversity including the rankings for the sub-categories, which you can read about in more detail here.

Interesting to see patterns of geography in here, as well as the relatively poor diversity figures in music and the performing arts, which asks questions about their broader inclusivity as disciplines/fields. There is, sadly, no nationwide data on the SES/class background of staff, which is a real shame when evidence points to the white, middle class, male dominance of higher education. We acknowledge that gender is missing as a variable here, but in the overall overall ranking it’s included in the pay gap, which features in our measures of leadership.
